March means many things, but for Skybacher Ministries it means the return of the 3-on-3 Slamrock Basketball Tourney.
This year the event took place at the Freedom Area Middle School. There was an abundance of teams, as we had 26 in total through all divisions. It was a great night as elementary and middle school teams kicked things off, followed by jr. high. We closed out the night with some intense battles from the high school division and over 18. There were many teams from Freedom, as well as homeschool co-op Plants & Pillars, and 2 teams from the men’s and women’s Grove City basketball teams. This made for great competition and fun interaction.
Also on the night we collected over $350 to be donated to Pastor Matt Klenk’s family. We also had a reminder message to do everything without arguing or comlaining. (Phi 2:14). It was a great night all-around and left everyone asking for more. Big shout out to Lisa Collins RE/Max Select Realty for sponsoring the tournament shirts.
