Pray & Play

Bi-Weekly sports outreach and fellowship.

Pray & Play is open to students in 5th through 12th grade and is led by Skybacher staff and young adult volunteers. It is held mostly every other Sundays between September and May from 6:30-8p at The Freedom Place (501 3rd Ave).

Games

Each week, we kick-off and end with 2 different, structured pick-up games. Games include gym favorites (Dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, newcomb) as well as Skybacher creations (whip it, gatorball).

Devotion

The staff leads the group in a short devotional that is applicable to daily life. Our goal is to both encourage students’ hearts and challenge students’ thinking.

Fellowship

Along with small group prayer time for sharing praises and requests, students can also enjoy the company of each other and staff in a positive environment.

Special Editions

We sprinkle in some unique Pray & Plays throughout the school year for extra fun!

Fun Fore All Kick-Off

Each year September, we kick off the school year and Pray & Play at Fun Fore All. It’s a night full of mini golf, go-karts, and more!

Christmas Laser Tag

What a better way to celebrate Christmas than with Laser Tag?! Stealth mode combined with a white elephant exchange means lots of laughs.

Big Group Date

Too much time winter makes us go stir crazy. So every February, we go on a Big Group Date for a fun activity and dinner all together.

2-Better-Than-1

We’re strong believers that two are better than one. This special spring Pray & Play features games for teams of two. So grab a partner and see what you can do!
