It’s been a really hot summer, but that didn’t stop us from hosting for the third time our annual Skybacher Classic Golf Outing. The event was once again held at Black Hawk Golf Course, and there were 19 total teams that participated in the Classic. Special event holes included a Blackjack hole, a survivor ball challenge, closest to the pin, longest drive, and of course the Beat the Director hole. It was a beautiful day for golf and the winners shot an impressive -11. We had a ton of great sponsors and people who donated prizes and gift baskets. After the golf wrapped up everyone headed to the pavilion for a brief message from Skybacher Ministries Director – Find joy in what you do, keep praying, and remain grateful each day for the blessings we have, a message based on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. The golfers all seemed to get the message and enjoyed the word as there was loud applause. Maybe everyone was a little tired. Either way it ended with some great food from J&J’s Catering and some prize give aways. It all lead to another amazing event to cap off the summer.
