After many years of hosting sports tournaments and events for the youth we decided it was time to host a golf outing! On October 9th we hosted the first ever Skybacher Classic Golf Scramble. There were 14 teams who participated in the days events, which included contests for the longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and beat the pro. It was a beautiful fall day at Black Hawk Golf Course. All involved seemed to have an amazing time on the course. After all the swings were done, participants were able to enjoy a wonderful meal from Too Tall’s Island Grill – Jerk Chicken, meatballs, rice, salad, green beans, and mac & cheese! After a brief message from our director John Mohrbacher it was time to hand out some prizes for the contest winners and auction items. We are grateful to all of our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and all who participated in the event, making it a wonderful start to what we hope to be a true Skybacher Classic!!
