There have been a few constants over the years at Skybacher Ministries. One of those constants has been The Dodgeball Pumpkin Blast. This year we had 4 Elementary teams, 5 Middle School Teams, 2 Jr. High Teams, and 3 High School teams, for a total of 14 teams. Some teams dressed up in themes. The definite winners of the team themes were the Zombies in Black who wore full zombie face make up. The dodgeball action was intense. Games had 3 pumpkin balls available that are the gamechanger ball. If you hit somone with a pumpkin ball you get someone back in who was off, but if someone catches the pumpkin ball their entire team is back in. It makes it fun and this year is truly was a gamechanger like never before. In the high school championship the Clap Clan was down 4 v 1 with 30 seconds left, but a catch of a regular ball, and then a catch of the pumpkin ball with 4 seconds left swung the numbers in a completely different direction that won them the game and the t-shirts!! As always the “Good News” was from Romans 8 that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ.
