It was going to be epic! What a cool year to say you were graduating. 2020 the year of perfect vision! And then literally the world turned upside down. I think the thing that breaks me up the most is not getting the chance to see the graduates walk down the halls of the middle school and see the kids cheer for them and light up for them. That is by far my favorite senior moment, because it’s the moment where I get to see kids faces light up by the fact that they know Casey Collins, or Tyler Mohrbacher, or Max Ujhazy from going to the Skybacher Summer Camps or coming to dodgeball or whatever it may be. But I don’t need to see middle school kids or a principal hand someone a diploma to know that God has big plans for this incredible “Class of 2020”

I was sitting here searching for the words to write and in the middle of things my brother called me and I broke down and got choked up talking about it, as I returned to my computer there the words were from my lovely wife and partner in ministry, bringing this into a perspective that I couldn’t have stated any better myself.

Don’t get me wrong. I am sad. I’ve cried a couple times about it all. I’m heartbroken for all the things this group of seniors are missing out on YET I’m believing that this group of Seniors come out of this pandemic “more than” they were when it started. That the losses of seasons, and school, and memories with friends isn’t what remains – its that they get what’s important, that they are more sympathetic, that they care more about the lost, that they love their families more, that they give more to their passions and dreams because they realize what its like to not have them all the time, that they grow in their abilities and talents and maybe even discover some new ones, that their love and compassion run deeper than ever before, that they are able to embrace challenges and changes in the future better than our generation because they have had to deal with a very different normal, and that above all that they know without a shadow of a doubt how Long and High and Great is the Love of our Father in Heaven for each of them…that He loves them and His heart is broken for them YET He has a plan for how He will use it in each of their lives!! – Kristie Mohrbacher

Well Said my love!! Go on and do some amazing things class of 2020!
