A year ago at this time we held our annual Dinner Auction and dedicated the opening of The Freedom Place. This year we decided we would move things upstairs at the Freedom Place for our auction. The place looked amazing and it was soon filled with people ready to eat, laugh, and spend some money. This was the best in person auction that we’ve had post-Covid. We raised over $7,000 in funds to be able to pay our camp staff at the “More Than” Sports Camps.

Our Platinum Sponsor – Portage Learning made sure we had great food from J&J’s Catering, cheesecake with fruit for dessert. And speaking of dessert it was chocolate chip cookies made by the founders parents that were one of the highest selling items on the night! It made for a hilarious bidding war, that had a very sweet and humorous ending. This was one of the many great items to bid on for the night. A Kalahari overnight, Penguins Tickets, the famous mexican serving bowl, steaks with blackstone utensils were a few of the great items.

Before the bidding wars started patrons were treated to a video message from Jersee Melvin about how Skybacher Ministries has played a part in her life. Then Renae Singh daughter of the founders came up to share her testimony over the past 2 years, and how the ministry has worked in her life. It brought many tears to eyes as she just laid it all out there how God has always been at work, and she is a “seen & heard” daughter of the King. The message from our found John was much the same, as he urged us all to keep telling families, young people, and kids about a God who sees and hears them.

It all amounted to an amazing night of fun, laughter, and fellowship. It is truly a blessing to reflect back on all that the Lord is doing and has done through Skybacher Ministries. It also is a great reminder that He is not done yet, and He will continue to provide.

Thank you to all who made this amazing night possible.
