It was all the way back in 2004 when our director met with the pastor of Unionville United Methodist church to propose the idea of hosting tournaments at their gym space. The first tournament would be a volleyball tourney. It was there that Skybacher Ministries first took flight, and now 21 years later we were still hosting a volleyball tournament at the same location. We had five very competitive teams who all battled it out throughout the night, but it was the Net Violators who would defeat the Chewblockers in a 3 game set to take home the title and the golden volleyballs!
As per usual we had a message from Colossians 3:15-17 about being thankful, and a great time of catching up with the other teams.
When God gives you a dream, you have to move on it. That’s the testimony of Skybacher Ministries, and a faithful God. Next tournament is in January for the Broomball Blizzard.
