It’s that time of the year again, when things get cold and people get the urge to take out a broom and hit a ball on the ice! Yep the Skybacher Ministries Broomball Blizzard is back on December 10th at Brady’s Run Ice Arena. 6 Players per team 2 must be girls. Cost is $5 per person. Also required is helmet protection bike helmets, hockey helmets, and motorcycle helmets are acceptable. There will be a limited number of helmets provided but head gear must be worn in order for people to be allowed on the ice.
If you have never played Broomball it is a very fun and entertaining sport played on ice. It’s very similar to hockey, with a broom like device being used instead of a stick, and shoes are worn as opposed to skates. The rest is all just a bunch of fun and craziness on the ice.
