It has been a few days since Tyler and I got back from an amazing trip to the Czech Republic.  A huge thanks to everyone who was praying for us.  We are still trying to get our schedules adjusted but it is so good to have our family all back together.  We are still both reflecting on the journey and the things that we learned and will hopefully have opportunity to share video and pictures with you in the coming weeks. We had so much fun talking about, playing, and watching soccer each day, but it was the time’s where we saw God at work that will be truly memorable.

A few of the things that we learned, (or already knew, but saw evident) while we were there.

  • God exists everywhere! Not that we didn’t know that, but it’s always amazing to see him at work!
  • Soccer is truly a universal sport – throw out a ball and let the kicking begin.  Tyler couldn’t speak their language but he still knew what they wanted him to do with the ball!!  Goal!!!!
  • Sports are a gift from God and a great way to reach others with the Gospel.  We earned respect playing hours and hours of soccer.
  • There is power in God’s Word!  Each night there were lessons from God’s Word a time earned through playing soccer.
  • If you confess with your mouth, and believe in your heart that Christ was raised from the dead, you will be saved!!!  I was there as three of the 30 kids participating in the camp decided to give their lives to Christ.
  • There is power in prayer – we could feel it each day.
  • Scoring goals is fun, in whatever country you are in.  Ty and I both scored a few goals!

Thank you so much again for all of your prayers and support.  Ty and I were truly blessed, and lives were truly changed.
