On February 23rd we held the 2nd annual Whip-It tournament. A sport that is soon to be sweeping the nation. Six teams entered the tournament, and the competition was fierce. The Scrappers from 4 Mile Presbyterian rose above the rest of the crowd with 6 straight victories. The Championship didn’t come without some tense moments as the Slayerz from Rochester 1st Baptist pushed them to the ultimate limit. The Scrappers lead in the Championship game 5-3 with 30 seconds remaining when the Slayerz scored a 2 point shot to tie with 10 seconds on the clock. Regulation time ended with a 5-5 tie. The championship would head to overtime where the Scrappers scored first, but the Slayerz came back with another 2 point shot.Not to be denied the Scrappers squeaked in a 2 point shot of their own as time ran out for a 8-7 victory. Congratulations to the Scrappers and all who participated in a great tournament.
