This past weekend we held the Annual Pumpkin Blast and the Mini Pumpkin Blast. It was a fun filled weekend for all who participated in spite of the sore shoulders, bumps, and bruises. Saturday night 10 teams battled it out for the Platinum Pumpkin trophy. The sportsmanship for the entire night was great, as was the dodgeball action. At the break students were challenged to grade themselves on how they were doing following the 2 commandments (Loving God, and Loving your Neighbor). The Pink Kickers were awarded the Eat-n-Park Sportsmanship Award, and the Mustache Party won for best team theme, as the majority were sporting some amazing facial hair! After the break it was time for the playoffs with the White Men in Black leading the way followed closely by the Mustache Party, and the Giddy Toddlers. In the end the White Men in Black were too much to handle as they took home the Platinum Pumpkin.
The next night the nearly 60 elementary students took their turn on the dodgeball courts. The action and energy were high, so was the noise level. It was a great time and students were encouraged that they don’t need to wear “masks” when they are around other people but that God loves them exactly how they are. A team call the Strawberry Ponies took home the Mini Platinum Pumpkin. It all made for an amazing weekend. Thank you to everyone who participated. Click here for more photos on our Facebook Page
