It’s hard to believe that we’re almost done with year 4 of Skybacher Summer Sports Camps. God continues to bless this ministry each and every day. Today kicked off (no pun intended!) the last week of camp for 2011. About 50 campers came out to Green Valley in the heat to play soccer and to learn more about God. The word of the day was CREATE and Papa G certainly CREATED quite a doughnut. He included pudding, chocolate chips, icing, sprinkles, and his signature G on top. Some other highlights from the day include:
- Soccer freeze tag
- Sharks and minnows
- Animal crackers for snack
- CREATING team names and flags. Some team names include: The Spicy Doritos, the South African BLTs, and the Yellow Cheetah Chipmunks.
- Playing our first games of the week
- Trying to beat the heat with water, shade, and popsicles
- Learning how God CREATED us!
