It was a crazy weekend of weather and weather predictions, thankfully for us the predicted 8-12 inches of snow never arrived and we were able to host our annual Cosmic Clash on Sunday night. Students were able to play four-square and load up their faces with glowing war paint before the lights were shut off and the glowing lights took over. There were 6 teams battling it out for the elementary and middle school age groups – The Doctor Phillies would win themselves the 2019 “Ariba Campeon” (Rise up Champion) t-shirts. Students were given a lesson on not letting fear keep them from all that God has in store for their lives.
After that tournament ended it was right into to another tournament of 5 high school teams. The action was intense and the Farmers team dominated much of the night, but it was the Swaggin Dragons who would pull off the title. It was a great night and the high school students too were challenged to “Fear Not” that, when they are afraid, put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 56:3
